Our department annually recognizes outstanding students who transferred from UH system campuses and who are earning their BA in Political Science. We are pleased to share our final winner for the Outstanding Transfer Student Award! Congratulations to Robert Johnson! Robert Johnson graduated from Mid-Pacific Institute in 2012 and left Hawaii for a college in Oregon. Unable to find his academic inspiration there, Robert returned home in search of his internal motivation for ad...vancing his education. He eventually realized a strong desire to help others and enrolled at Kapiolani Community College. In 2017 he started to push himself, achieving grades he previously thought unobtainable. Now as a UHM Political Science major, he feels his biggest accomplishment is learning the great value in "getting back up after being knocked down." #uhmanoa #uhmpolisci #studenthighlight
