IaOrana! Tahiti opens on May 1. For children 6 years and older they are required to be vaccinated to enter the country. Of course, we can't get these kids vaccinated yet which would then require a 10 day quarantine for the whole family (in Papeete). In other words, Tahiti won't be a family destination until the rules change. Children 5 and under do not have to be vaccinated. It's a fluid situation and can and will change I'm sure. Current health/testing requirements...: #1-be vaccinated #2-RTPCR negative test taken no more than 72 hours prior to departure from the USA #3-rapid antigen test upon arrival** #4-RTPCR test on day 4 (on whatever island you are on)** #5-USA requires rapid covid test at Papeete airport prior to departure. (anyone entering the USA from a foreign country)**** ** = about $50.00 per person for the 2 test **** = about $50 per person for the departure test
