X-RAY FRIDAY ANSWER: Oso ingested a couple of belt buttons! Oso is probably the closest we'll get to seeing a Hippopotamus. He presented through ER for vomiting after knowingly eating the end of a leather belt. Super naughty! Vomiting and anorexia is one of the first signs of a gastrointestinal obstruction. Oso's x-rays revealed... belt buttons! The team took Oso to surgery later that day and after some time in the hospital (and some good booty scratches) he was happy and on his way home the following day.

With large caseloads and helping children through the pandemic, we thank you for all of your hard, dedicated work, and are excited for better days ahead! We would like to encourage all of our hardworking veterinary dads to remember to take time for themselves when they need it. There are plenty of activities outside of work that bring happiness, and we hope our Ethos dads take advantage of those opportunities! Happy Father’s Day!
