Yogi Monsters another favorite craft to pair with yoga class & perfect for Halloween . Supplies Multicolor thick paper or foam, scissors, glue, large googly eyes, & any extra fun decorations you have handy! Prep 1. Cut various LARGE shapes to use for the head & body. 2. Cut long strips in various shapes to use as the arms & legs.... . Assembly & Instructions for Kids Let the kids mix & match the shapes to make their own yogi monster!! Tell them to try and have their monster do their favorite yoga pose from class. You can use glue to assemble the yogi monsters or paper fasteners are even better so it’s easier to move the limbs :) In this example Talia’s monster is doing tree pose #halloweencrafts #yogacrafts #kidsyogateacher #kidsyogaclass #playbasedlearning #homeschoolcurriculum #yogaforkids

One of my favorite crafts to pair with yoga class MANDALAS . A mandala is a geometric figure representing the universe It can be used as a focus for meditation, and is a great calming and centering activity for kids I always show the class an example of a mandala I made and then I like to give them a variety of materials to experiment with! They always amaze me with their creativity & unique vision.... In case you needed a reminder . If you’re looking for a simple & fun craft try this SUNSHINE RAYS OF AFFIRMATIONS activity . To PREP use a paper plate to decorate or cut out a large yellow circle for the sunshine face, & some shades then cut out strips (or rays) big enough to write a short affirmation on in alternating colors! We picked yellow + orange.... . Let your kids pick their favorite affirmations and help them write them on their rays. Then glue together the sunshines and add a silly face . I also like to use a hole punch and add some string so they can hang up their sun wherever will remind them to put a smile on their face #affirmationsforkids #artsandcraftsforkids #yogaforkids #homeschoolcurriculum
