Greer Barker, a freshman from Idaho majoring in exercise and sports science, said her first reaction when meeting someone new is to talk to them. Barker said she loves meeting new people because "everyone has a different story" and said she wants to know all about them. She said this genuine desire to know someone "has helped me not judge people and not make assumptions." ... Barker said in one of her peacebuilding classes, she learned the principle of seeing everyone as a person. She said this has helped her not make assumptions. She said the more people realize this principle, the more they will start to see every person you interact with as someone who has their own life, story, and struggles. "Seeing people as people will help you be kinder to people and have more patience." @nichole8of8 @emie.claire
