You may have already noticed that we have changed the name of this site to FHS The Governor Newspaper. Thank you for your patience as we learn how to navigate through social media. Please send us your comments, suggestions, critiques about our page and/or our newspaper/news page.
We are on Spring break, right now, and probably not much will be happening at FHS, but the corona virus is already affecting life on The Islands. Please be reporters, interviewers, and photographers every day, especially on how the Streets of the world are affecting your Streets of Kalihi. If you have anything of immediate news value, please contact Gabe, Justin, Mitti, Ashley, or Janis immediately. Should we make most of our April issue a corona virus impact special edition? Should we meet in Portable 12 later in the week for an Editors’ meeting? The news will not wait for us! Call me (295-9691) or email ([email protected]) with your suggestions. Former Governor writers and editors are invited to be part of this. Please forward this message to others whom you think may be interested in contributing!
Aloha Govs! Here is our February issue for 2020! We hope you enjoy, and thank you for your support!... https://issuu.com/fhsgovernornews/docs/february_2020
Aloha Govs! Our January issue will only be available online for now! It's an Editor-Only issue, featuring students who have been in the class for 2 years or more!... Thank you for your support, and we hope you enjoy reading it! https://issuu.com/fhsgovernornews/docs/january_2020
Thank you for your support and your liking our newspaper. It’s a new semester with new reporters; however, we have some editors who have signed up for the class again. We will publish a smaller January issue, unless some if our readers are interested in publishing? Interested? Contact us!
We miss our readers, and now our editors and writers have either graduated or moved on. Some of the old timers have registered for the Fall. They will be our new editors and designers. We have the April issue in bed; so with our new crew we will wake up the issue, recover what we have, and ask the new reporters to go to work immediately. Thank you for your patience. We want to make the August issue a significant one for those who will read it in the future. Simce it an open forum, we welcome stories from alumna and past students. Send them to us electronically or by snail mail. Thank you: Janis Uri Miya and Larry Wayman, Advisers
