Make your partner #1. Not your kids. Your partner. Make sure your partners needs are met. Make sure your relationship needs are met. ... AND THEN take care of your kids. It’s so easy as mothers to get sucked into the day-to-day hustling, and shuffling kids here and there and taking care of them 24/7. But you can lean on your community. Or hire that nanny. & PRIORITIZE dating your husband. I’ve got two little boys of my own and I know life can get busy. I know it can be hard trusting others with your kids. I know there’s a million things running through your mind that you want to get to. But just relax. Breath. Get out of your mothering role and go date your husband. Make it your priority and see the ripple effects in your marriage and for your family as a whole. Now tell me; where’s your next date going to be ?!

This isn’t one of my favorite maternity photos just because of the photo itself.... But also because of the friendship + connection I made with this beautiful woman this day. We hiked in nature, with the conversation flowing effortlessly from one topic to another and then arriving at our destination where we captured these beautiful images for her. ... She was in her third trimester and I could feel the excitement radiating from her as she would soon get to meet her baby girl. A couple weeks later she gave birth at home with the support of the most amazing women. You see... getting to capture these photos for you mean the world to me but... But even more then that: getting to witness you and connect with you is the biggest joy of all and why my heart expands and sings when I get to do this work. So thank you to each one of you. Every person I’ve got to connect with through this work

Sorry to say mama, but you don’t have time to wait... There’s no better time then now, to get in the frame with your little ones. They are as young as they’ll ever be, and every year they change and grow so much.... So don’t wait. Don’t wait for that babyweight to come off. Don’t wait until you feel like it. Don’t wait until your kiddos seem more cooperative. Don’t wait till you feel like you’re not in the thick of it. Don’t wait until you feel like your marriage is out of that rut. Don’t Wait Because the truth is: you’re in the thick of it right now. And some of the things in your life might not change for a very long time. And that’s ok. You can still show up for the things you want to. You are still worthy of having yourself captured with your little ones. You give it your all and more and your kids deserve to see you in this phase of life. I’ll be there every step of the way. Helping you through whatever blocks you have. I’ve been through it too and sometimes I’m even struggling through some of the same stuff you are. So let me show you that you are enough the way you are right now and let’s create some magic.
