Free COVID-19 vaccinations now available for kpuna and essential workers!!!! The Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement is proud to partner with Kaiser Permanente to provide free vaccinations to kpuna and essential workers in Kapolei this Thursday, March 4 from 9am - 1pm. This free vaccination is open to both Kaiser and non-Kaiser members and requires a photo ID and medical card on the day of your appointment.... Vaccinations are by appointment only (no walk-ins allowed) and details for time and location will be provided upon confirmation of your appointment. To book an appointment, call 808-432-2260 or 808-432-2273 Monday through Friday from 8:30am - 4:30pm. If you reach a voicemail, please leave a message with your contact information.

KNEOHE, Hawaii - Seniors now have a convenient new resource on Windward Oahu to support them in their golden years. A blessing ceremony today marked the grand opening of Kpuna Power at Windward Mall. What started as a one-day informational fair at the State Capitol has expanded into a multi-faceted brand that includes a television program, civic outreach and retail product line now headquartered at Windward Mall. Kpuna Power at Windward Mall is located on the first floor near Ross Dress for Less. Kpuna and their families are encouraged to visit for important information and other resources and tools needed to help them live better, healthier and more independently for a longer period of time. Kumu Hula Frank Kawaikapuokalani Hewitt performed the blessing. Guests were entertained with music by Art Kalahiki. Among those attending today included State Senator Jarrett Keohokalole, City Councilwoman Esther Kia’aina, and former Governor John Waihee. According to the Hawaii State Plan on Aging, one-third of Hawaii’s population will be over 60 by the year 2035. The ‘Silver Tsunami’ is hitting our shores and as a community, we need to be prepared. Kpuna Power is a state of mind that empowers our seniors to take control of their lives so they can age in place with dignity, said Brickwood Galuteria, former State Senator and founder of Kpuna Power. Our partnership with Kamehameha Schools and Windward Mall is one example of our on-going effort to support our seniors. A sincere mahalo to them for sharing the values of Kpuna Power and for making an impact in people’s lives now and in the future. We are honored to welcome Kpuna Power to the Windward Mall ‘ohana, said Cesar Topacio, general manager of Windward Mall.
