With collaboration with Big Island Candies, Marukai is now selling Big Island Candies Frozen Apple Pie in our store for a limited period. You can now enjoy the popular apple pie from Hilo on Oahu! Please look for the pie in our freezer. It's ready to bake at home. Something to enrich your "stay at home" life, a new standard to even the post covit-19 lifestyle. We already have the pie on the sales floor starting today (June 3rd) until the inventory lasts.

Kubota Soujou Seppou Junmai Daiginjo has arrived. This is one of the Kubota Brand's seasonal sake that they brew once a year. It was introduced to us last year and we definitely wanted to introduce this sake not only to Marukai Sake Club Members, but to all our customers, especially sake fans. it has an enhanced balance of sweetness from the rice and acidity from the fermentation, smooth style as other Kubota Sake have, plus high level of viscosity that I woul...d recommend to enjoy chilled in a wine glass. Keep the wine glass chilled before you pour the sake up to 1/3 of the glass, swirl twice, then enjoy the layers of aromas that would rise in the glass before you take your first sip. Asahi Shuzo recommends this sake with seasonal spring vegetable dishes, but I would definitely enjoy Kubota Souju Seppou(Snow Peak) Junmai Daiginjo by itself. We have made a display in our store, so please check when you are at Marukai. We regret to inform that Honolulu Liquor Commission still does not allow in store sampling, which we would have done right away.
