Square Barrels needs 1 part-time dishwasher to staff our evening dinner service on Tuesday- Saturdays. The ideal candidate believes in showing up for work on time; will be a team player who provides other employees with assistance in the kitchen as needed, following all sanitary and health-related protocols. Square Barrels is an established restaurant and bar located in downtown Honolulu. We are offering a consistent schedule and excellent pay for a dedicated employee in our dishwasher function. Responsibilities for the dishwasher position include: Operation of an industrial dishwasher Wash pots, pans, plate and glassware by hand when necessary Clean dish storage Follow sanitation policies at all times Clean up spills and broken glassware immediately Provide assistance to prep and line cooks as needed Report all sanitation and janitorial issues to the manager Rotate dishware to reduce wear and tear on resources Empty all trash receptacles Clean kitchen mats at end of service Sweep and mop kitchen floors at the end of business hours The ideal candidate will: Display excellent critical thinking and multi-tasking skills Be able to operate industrial machinery and carry loads up to 20lbs Willingness to work in hot, humid environment and on your feet got 6-8 hour shifts Be a team player, assisting other employees as and when required Have excellent time-management qualities
