Hurricane Hector is expected to be about 150 miles south of the island today. There is also a large brush fire within the national park....lets hope the rains from the hurricane help extinguish the fire!

The Kau Coffee Trail Run offers moderate to highly-challenging 5K, 10K and 1/2 marathon races through macadamia nut and coffee fields along the beautiful slopes of rural Kau on the southern side of Hawaii Island.

The hurricane produced very little wind and the surf was not that big, and just a tiny sprinkle of rain. People are back in the water and enjoying their vacation at the black sand beach!
