Feeding some Hilo families today!

Been steady catching onos over the last few trips with the exception of today. We drug live baits all over the place and didn’t even get a sniff when other people caught them trolling lures. Just goes to show you there’s never a magic recipe, just tools in the the toolbox.

Love it when the onos are hungry in the morning. Just think we untied from the dock and within 10 minutes all the lines are screaming. Ahhhh kona !!

I’ve seen some doozies in the years we’ve been at this, but never have I been threatened of a lawsuit for not catching a fish. This is the same group from two days ago. I’d like to hear from our fans what the suggestions should be for handling folks like this.

Been able to put a few fish on the deck this last few days. Today was a no bite kinda day. Only able to catch one baitfish in an hour of trying, then nothing wanted to bite the lures for the rest of the day. Those types of days are just as miserable for us as they are if you’re the guest.
