The Hawaii Department of Education (DOE) administers the School Quality Survey (SQS) to capture the voices of school personnel, students (Grades 3-12), and parents/guardians (of students in Grades K-12) in public DOE schools and charter schools. This year they've made things a little easier for your voice to be heard by combining the SQS with the End of Year Surveys. Whether your child is physically going to school, attending online sessions, or both, please give us your opi...nion about your child’s school. It will take about 10-15 minutes to complete the survey (Responses are not saved so please complete it in one sitting.) and we respectfully ask that you submit it by May 28, 2021. More information in the image below, to participate, please visit the link below. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/2021SQSEOYParent

Aloha e n ohana N Wai Ola PCS, This letter is to inform you that we are prepared and excited to welcome our students back to campus on Monday, May 3, 2021, for in-person instruction. Your child’s/children’s grade level teacher should have made contact with you directly to determine whether you want your child/children to physically return to campus in preparation. If you were not contacted, please reach out to the teacher directly. Please note that it is imperative that ...we all follow the COVID-19 safety protocols to protect all members of our learning community. All students must be dropped off in the gravel driveway between our classrooms and the Mountain View Gym. Upon arrival, all students will need to be checked in at our health screening station where they will have their temperature check before being allowed to proceed to the cafeteria. If anyone has a temperature of 100.4 degrees will not be allowed to attend school, and will need to follow the quarantine period at home until they are symptom free for 5 days before returning to school. Please note that no parents and/or visitors are allowed on campus except for drop off and pick up. Please note that all students, staff, and parents when on campus must wear an appropriate facemask or face shield. There may be times when your child will be allowed to remove their face coverings, which will be determined by the teachers and staff, and will follow safety guidelines for social distancing. There will be a sanitation station available throughout our campus and all students and staff members will sanitize frequently throughout the day. Our Daily School Schedule will be as follows: Mondays: 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM Tuesday Friday: 8:00 AM to 2:50 PM Breakfast Served: 7:15 AM to 7:45 AM Students who are picked up must be picked up at the end of the school day there will be limited after school supervision due to the COVID-19 guidelines. We would like to take this time to mahalo you for your continued understanding and support as we navigate through this unique school year. We are excited to be able to provide in-person instruction and will do our very best to provide our students with the highest quality education to prepare them for the next school year. Together, we can finish this school year strong and ensure our students have the ultimate support academically, socially, and emotionally. Mahalo i oukou pkahi a pau! Me ka haahaa, F.
