Nicky was rescued on April 23rd with a severe fishing line entanglement injury. Due to the severity of the wound, our veterinary team decided that the injured flipper would require amputation. The event will feature 25 Maui professionals from a range of environmental career fields, who will share more about their jobs, their career paths and their inspiration for working to protect the ina. Alumni will facilitate breakout rooms where students can engage in an informal Q&A with the presenters. The presenters represent a range of careers including marine science, government, sustainable agriculture, sustainability infrastructure, watershed protection and other types of natural resource management.
