Here are our updated store shopping policies as of April 15, 2020:

Dear Maui Community, I'm sorry for the way my words were interpreted by the individual who called to let me know about the situation. I didn't mean to come across as uncaring and will be careful to watch my words and the emotions behind them to ensure that it doesn't happen again. Our kupuna should always be treated with respect and while I believe that we do try our best to treat everyone fairly, sometimes our actions may be taken the wrong way. We are all human and have b...ad days. While this is no reason to treat someone badly, at the time of the phone call, I may have been caught having a bad moment and misspoke. And for that, I'm sorry. Aloha Friends, There have been some social media posts recently regarding the unpleasant experience an older customer had at our store. We would like to apologize for the way this customer was treated and let you know that we are taking steps to ensure that all customers, especially our Kupuna, have as smooth and seamless a visit as possible, especially at this time when many of the places that we visit have long lines and waits. We truly care for our Kupuna and starting on... Tuesday, April 28, 2020, we would like to invite anyone age 65+ or who are considered to be high risk to shop with us from 9AM - 10AM Monday - Friday before the store is open to the general public. While we cannot guarantee that there will not be lines, we do believe that it will be cooler and more comfortable to be in line earlier rather than later in the day. We ask that anyone who does not fall into one of the above categories please wait in your cars until closer to 10AM to cut down on the lines and to help with social distancing. There is no excuse for the experience the customer had. We hope that you will give us another chance to show that we have taken your comments and feedback to heart and have improved the shopping experience for anyone who visits us. Beginning Tuesday, April 28, 2020, we will be changing our Kupuna Hours to invite those ages 65+ along with those who are considered to be high risk to shop from 9AM - 10AM, Monday - Friday prior to the general public being allowed in. While we cannot guarantee that there will be no lines at that time, it is our hope that it will be cooler and the lines will be shorter earlier in the day. We ask that anyone who does not fall into one of these categories please wait in your vehicle until closer to 10AM. This will help us keep the line down as well as promote social distancing.
