Some of you may be aware that I am also a board member of the Hawaii Bankruptcy Bar Association. I am announcing the HBBA's 2019 Fall Conference in Oahu. Although there are not many on the island that practice bankruptcy law, there are some interesting CLEs this year that should have broad appeal to the bar. For example, there is an event that will delve into reorganization issues of Catholic diocese involved in the sex scandals. Another event explores tax issues in consumer bankruptcy cases. MCBA members and Judiciary staff - you are invited this FRIDAY, 4:30 to 7pm, to party for a good cause at Wai Bar, on 45 N. Market St, with patio seating, open bar, heavy pupus, and DJ action by DJs Jarod Mower and Rudeboy Defender Sound. Please come prepared with a donation to the Maui Food Bank - whether money (preferably) or non-perishable foods - to help the less fortunate this holiday season.
