The latest from Maui photographer Don McLeish. Divers on Lahaina Divers Hammerhead charter were once again treated to diving with a pod of whales overhead. Oh yeah, and quite a few hammerheads. Thanks for sharing Don.

Scientists have discovered that, on occasion, an octopus will "punch" a fish for no other reason other than spite.

LD divers were observing hammerhead sharks when a pod of humpback whales passed by overhead. Turn your sound on to hear the photographer's emotional response. Also note the diver in the foreground grab his head in surprise. Even though the Go-pro footage is a little blurry, the general consensus is it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Here is what we were keeping under wraps... We were honored last week to work with Guy Fieri, star restaurateur, author, and an Emmy Award winning television host. Guy, family and friends went for 3 days of diving with our Lahaina Diver's crew, along with a local and mainland TV crew. Footage was captured from many angles and underwater for a potential future project with the Discovery + Network. LD Crew certified some of Guy's family members, and we just all had an amazi...ng time. AND If you think Guy Fieri seems like a cool guy on TV, he is just as nice in real life. Due to capacity restrictions, charters fill up fast (hint: reserve well in advance). We recently started an online standby system.
