Happy to again be helping Pierre of Team France get his competitive gear embroidered with his sponsors. I helped him last year also and he said he hopes I can for years to come!

To my customers who may not know my story...I CHOSE LIFE and these 3 made sure I kept my word! This is my 22nd anniversary of my second chance at life. People may wonder why I celebrate but when you're told you have a 10% chance of survival you remember it. You also remember the extremely brave people who fought to keep you alive in this case my former wife and daughters. I remember everything 100%, never passed out and fully coherent for 3 hours until surgery. The fall from ...the ladder, the pulling out of the electric drill from my throat, the thinking "I'm dying and it's so peaceful", the panic to get help, knowing I couldn't speak but not knowing the drill had taken out the back of my tongue, paralyzed half my voice box and twisted it backwards. I remember Peg telling me she could see my spine through the hole, the whirling blades above me in the flight for life and having the Dr. soothingly tell me I should say my farewell to the girls just in case. Hours later I would wake with a tracheotomy, iv's and tubes everywhere, only a 50% chance of surviving and being told I'd never eat or speak again. As we know now, I did fight, it took a year but I did talk and start eating loosing the need for tube feeding and all along those three were by my side. I remember it all because I have daily reminders, I still choke occasionally, my half of a voice box pains at time from overuse and I get a little squimish when I see people with tracheotomies or when I think of tall ladders. I have sometimes level 8-9 pain in my ankles because of dozens of tiny stress fractures doctors only recently realized I had gotten in the fall and now age and arthritis have set in but I chose life and I'm so glad. I guess it's a form of therapy to share this, it makes me grateful for where I am. I also share it to give strength to people with problems, you can and will make it through. My experience changed our lives forever and it made me stronger in many ways. It also developed a very strong bond with myself, Peggy Durand, Sarah Copsey and Ashley Durand who saw me through the worst of times and were my guardian angels. I CHOSE LIFE and am so glad I did! Trying to help the healing process of the community by embroidering two flags commemorating the lives of Dave Mahon and Bronson Kaliloa. The process of embroidering large items is tricky and time consuming but extremely rewarding when done for something like this

James Mitchell, an independent photographer from London who has been signed to follow top female athletes throughout IronMan as well as covering IronMan for Redbull and a London newspaper chose us to embroider dozens of caps for his fans and fellow photographers. It's really been enjoyable hearing about his adventures on the road. Because of Redbull alone he has over 20 million views of his photography.
