This morning I had the pleasure of volunteering my time for a great cause with the Friends of Kewalos beach cleanup. - I use this beach to surf almost everyd...ay and I also use it for business as well. I wanted to give back to my community and this was the perfect way to try something new. - What I treasured most about today is I met a lot of people with the same goal: preserving the beauty of this beach. - Along with volunteering my time, I also donated some money to this cause. I bought a t-shirt which the logo was designed by a local graphic artist named, Gavin Murai, and, I bought 3 raffle tickets. One was for a goodie bag, another was for a painting from another local artist, Mark Brown and I could not pass up buying a raffle ticket for a surfboard (See photo). - I won the goodie bag which had a cap, a Local Motion t-shirt , a bar of Sticky Bumps surf wax and eco friendly sunscreen. - Thanks to Shallows surfer, Lester, for taking pictures of this event and to everyone who came out and donated their precious time and efforts to keep our home, Hawaii, clean!!!
