Let’s explore the farm together! On your next visit to Keiki and Plow, let’s play a round of bingo. You can print or screenshot this bingo sheet (find it in our story highlights) and bring it along with you. Use it as a guide during your play date, or play first and bingo later! As you cross things off your bingo board, encourage critical thinking and conversations with your keiki. How did it feel when you fed a chicken out of your palm? What was your strategy to pull that... carrot out of the ground? When we explore together, we can learn together too. Show your completed bingo card to the staff between now and February 13 for a special prize from the farm Be sure to tag @keikiandplow in your stories with your finished bingo card

Many things can wait; children cannot. Right now their bones are being formed, their blood is being made, and their sense are being developed. To them we cannot answer tomorrow. Their name is today. -Gabriela Mistrel

Ryan Mohr, husband, father, friend, dreamer. March 25, 1983-January 30, 2021 From his journal dated 2008:... Leap and the net will appear Take chances! Nothing is gained without risk. Embrace risk and learn how to manage it. You will forever have access to freedoms others only dream of. Reach for that horizon. Keiki and Plow was a leap. It was a dream. Ryan’s excitement, his vision, his ability to master and puzzle piece things together to accomplish anything he set his mind to...Keiki and plow was the ultimate stage for all of his brilliance and determination, playfulness and joy to shine. We were still in the dreaming phase of K+P, we had toured the property and spent all our nights note books in hand just living in the high of what could be. Ryan said over and over he wanted the farm to be a time machine, for people to feel like they had stepped back into a slower time, a sanctuary of sorts to remember what it was like to be a child and give our children the space to roam, to be free and wild. I called him my forever lost boy and he was. Drawing plans for pirate ships and crows nests, of bonfire pits and live music stages, of movie nights and skate ramps, climbing routes in hidden trees and zip lines just barely avoiding bee hives haunting on either side of the exhilarating path. He was playful. He leveled up every idea, every project, every event with just one more, but what if we.... He worked hard to make sure we could call this land home. He worked hard so we could create this space for our community. He believed in me. He believed I could run the farm with heart and purpose and leadership and he was happy to stay behind the scenes and do his part to make sure I could keep doing the work for all of us. He was genuine, brilliant, he was love. He is so desperately missed but he left us with this magic place to heal. He left us with all of you to be our strength and to help us see and continue to be the love. To my forever lost boy we will carry on. We will build you that crows nest and see you in the light that is all around. We love you, we miss you, we will celebrate you today and all our days. Please join us in being the light, Friday

Did you know introducing new flavors to baby starts in the womb? Babies taste buds develop somewhere between 13-15 weeks gestation, when they are actually able to share some of the same flavor experiences with you! While in the womb, babies can taste flavors from its mother’s diet that travel through the bloodstream and into the amniotic fluid. The flavor journey continues through nursing and is at its peak once your little peanut begins eating solid foods. Most doctors recommend waiting until your keiki is about 8 months old to start introducing herbs and mild spices to their diet. Herbs and spices are a great way to add vitamins, minerals, and new flavor experiences to your plate. You can find an array of fresh herbs available at this week’s grab and go station!

Aloha farm family. Thank you so much for your kind words and love. Heather and her family will be taking some time to be together. During this time all programming will be closed until further notice. So many of you have reached out to offer your love, support and ask how you can help. Please join us in being the light, Friday evening after sunset by lighting a candle in Ryan’s honor. ... Find your magic place, hold him in your heart and think of how to be more of the magic in your own home and life. Let’s light up this world in his memory together. A GoFundMe page has been set up for the Mohr family. You can find the link on our link tree page in the @keikiandplow bio. Flashback to that magical time snow fell on Keiki and Plow, we raised $800 for @toys_for_tots_organization and we sat around bonfires roasting s’mores and soaking it all in. Yes, this year is different but the magic is still there. Thank you to @michellescottiphoto for capturing these treasures and reminding us of this incredible night.
