This is such a special couple near and dear to my heart. It was five years ago when Davon emailed me and we began planning how he would surprise Robin by proposing on their Hawaii vacation. She said yes! A year later, they flew back from New York and I photographed their wedding. And today, I'll be on a plane to the Big Island where they are on their first babymoon and we'll be taking maternity photos! I can't get over what an honor it is to be even a small part of these moments in people's lives.

His anniversary gift was planning a sweet vow renewal to celebrate their marriage and family together. It reminds me with Christmas just moments away, that the best gift we can possible give is love.

Hawaii is a favorite spot for destination weddings and it's not uncommon to see brides and grooms out and about at our beautiful beaches and parks. And yet, as I was still amazed by how many smiles and happy congratulations Tracy and Patrick received from complete strangers. Just as we were about to leave, a woman brought her daughter over to meet Tracy, saying that her daughter kept talking about the princess in the beautiful white dress. She is certainly mesmerizing!! She also made her own stunning bouquet!

It was such a gray and dreary day yesterday. But just as the day ended, the rain stopped and the sun appeared to paint the sky with beautiful soft colors. Almost as if it was just for them. I think it was. Happy Birthday, little one! You and your brother are so special to all of us. You bring the light and colors to warm up the gray and dreary days. Love you!!

Spring means senior photos are in full bloom. Their lives will be so different in just a few months as they take off to new areas and new experiences. Such an exciting time!

I love the secret tree swings you sometimes happen upon on this island. Kids and parents alike love these hidden beach treasures. And, if you don't happen to find one, then there's always dad! Twice as fun!
