Kaitlyn Taaca ‘21 wanted to show her appreciation to all the essential workers and thank them for everything they have done over the past year. So for her Natio...nal Honor Society individual service project, Kaitlyn recruited students from IPA’s NHS, Interact Club, and National Art Honor society to create posters of appreciation. The thoughtful and attractive posters were displayed at Kapolei Shopping Center. I wanted to bring attention to our essential workers. The pandemic has been really hard on them, and I felt like they weren’t getting the appropriate recognition they deserved, shares Kaitlyn. I wanted to do this to remind them that we are thankful for them. I am also really proud of my peers since these are their amazing posters.

Family fun awaits when Kapolei Shopping Center hosts the Hunt for the Golden Eggs, a free, socially distanced adventure to find the Golden Eggs that are hidden (and may be wearing disguises!) in tenant locations throughout the center. Participants can play any day from April 1-3 between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. each day. Treats await keiki who complete the hunt; adults 18 years and older can enter to win one of 3 prize packages, each with merchant goodies and gift cards worth $100.
