Kalaheo Paddling

And that’s a wrap for the 2017-2018 paddling season. All 3 of our crews, girls, boys and mixed made it to the finals at the State Championship Regatta today in Hilo. Out of all the high school teams in the state our girls placed 6th, our boys placed 3rd and our mixed placed 4th!!! We are so proud of all of our students hard work and dedication! Here is a picture of our mixed crew after their finals race, for 3 of these paddlers in this crew this was their last race as a high school paddler. Great job seniors, we will miss you!

It’s been a while since we’ve posted we are sorry about that! Here is an update from today’s races. Our JV girls started us off with a 1st place overall. Our JV boys got 1st place in the east division and 4th overall. Our JV mixed got 2nd place overall.... Our Varsity girls got 1st place overall. Our Varsity boys got 1st place overall. And our Varsity mixed got 1st place overall as well. Congratulations and great job to our student athletes! Can’t wait till next weeks race, JV OIA championship!

Results from Week #1. What a great way to start of the season Kalaheo!!

Today our paddlers competed in the State championship regatta and took home a win in the mixed crew division! So happy to represent the OIA. Congratulations to all the schools and crews that had made it this far! Our Boys crew finished in 4th and girls crew in 5th. We couldn’t be more proud of you all! Thank you for an amazing season. Today our paddlers brought it! Our Varsity team won the girls, boys and mixed races! You are looking at our OIA CHAMPIONS! Kalaheo also scored the most points overall this season JV and VARS together and won the Tesoro Cup! CONGRATULATIONS KALHEO PADDLING!!! We are all so proud of you!

Schedule for the 2017-2018 paddling season. Note there are time changes for the December 30th race as well as the January 20th race. States will be held in Hilo this year! Can’t wait for the season to begin! There’s still time if you’re interested in joining the team!
