It is a wickedly funny alternative to the perennial Love Letters. When Preston writes a furious letter to a store demanding a refund for a broken snow globe, he finds in assistant manager Dahlia a vengeful match of wits. The two embark on an epic, often acrimonious correspondence as their lives intertwine. Whether Preston... and Dahlia are joining cults, having breakdowns, shipping each other deceased lizards, or falling in love, HATE MAIL is a two-person comedy full of surprises at every turn. Featuring Mathias Maas and Therese Olival and directed by Kevin Keaveney , HATE MAIL runs Friday February 5 & 12 Lot opens at 6pm, show starts at 7pm Sunday February 7 & 14 Lot opens at 5pm, show starts at 6pm *no Saturday show. Performed at our temporary outdoor home at 340 Uluniu St. in Kailua. Running time is roughly 90 mins. This play is presented as drive-in theater, and we encourage you to have dinner and a show in the comfort of your car! Some details about drive-in theater: Everyone will remain in their cars and the actors will be audible on your FM radio (car or portable radio, but not mobile phone). Windows may be kept down, as we will be socially distancing the cars. If you need to leave the car for any reason, please wear a mask. Please no sharing of food or drink between occupants of different cars. Please keep in mind that sight lines from the rear seats of some cars may be very limiting; but we cannot allow outdoor seating due to safety precautions. Let's keep everyone safe so we can continue to present drive-in theater throughout the pandemic!
