We need everyone: community members, businesses and visitors (you do not have to live in Hawaii to send testimony) to m...ake their voice heard in favor of strengthened legislation to protect Hawaii's critically important aquatic ecosystems. Our nearshore coral reef ecosystems are at a tipping point. In the face of chronic stress, it is imperative that we do all that we can to reduce additional impacts on these critically important ecosystems so that they continue to protect our coastlines, feed our community, connect us to nature and provide a large source of economic revenue to the economy. Actions like these set a precedent for future legislation and signal to our elected officials that protecting the natural resources in Hawaii is a top priority.
