Do not feed the chickens, we are concern with the chickens a bit about diseases, the immune compromised and mobility challenged clients who visit our Resident Agencies since.... we know that chickens do spread Zoonotic diseases to humans include salmonellosis, campylobacteriosis, and avian influenza viruses.

FEB. 2021 - The J. Walter Cameron Center announces & welcomes our newest, appointed member on the Board of Directors. Joyce Tamori is the CFO for Maui Health System and has been with the organization since its transition of the Maui region hospitals back in July 2017. Prior to her joining Maui Health System, Joyce worked for 14 years at Hale Makua Health Services, seven of which as its CFO. We are excited to welcome Joyce to our board of directors, said Cesar Gaxiola, J.... Walter Cameron Center’s Executive Director . Joyce has extensive experience in financial management and planning, which will offer significant value to our current board of directors. In her spare time, Joyce supports Longevity Health Center, an integrated healthcare practice of acupuncture, chiropractic, and massage that she and her husband owns. She also enjoys culturally exploring new places and enjoying time with her two nephews. The J. Walter Cameron Center board of directors is comprised of volunteers with extensive experience in human services, corporate, investment, and philanthropic sectors of our island. It is an understatement to say that help is needed for the sustainability of these non-profits, boost the well-being of their staff and find unconventional ways of increasing funding to serve those in need. We are all in this toge...ther, Maui! Let's rise up, work together and be the beacon of hope coming out from the midst of this pandemic. Do what you can. Kahi Kamalii Infant and Toddler Center Receives New Air Conditioning (Wailuku, HI)Cesar Gaxiola, Executive Director of the J. Walter Cameron Center has announced that new air conditioning has been installed at the Kahi Kamalii Infant and Toddler Center, a childcare and early Childhood education facility operated by Maui Economic Opportunity and managed by the J. Walter Cameron Center. Fifteen infants and toddlers are served by the MEO center. In making the announcement, Gax...iola pointed out that the children will be protected from Maui’s hot days and be in a healthy and safe environment. The Kahi Kamalii Infant and Toddler Center provides professional childcare services and early childhood education programs for children ages 12 months to 3 years old. Priority is given to low-income working families with special consideration for persons actively seeking employment and/or pursuing educational opportunities. All caregivers are qualified and professionally trained to provide high-quality childcare and early childhood education programs and the facility is licensed by the State of Hawaii Department of Human Services. MEO offers financial assistance to low-income families that have demonstrated a need and the center consistently operates at maximum capacity with a waiting list.
