A lot of customers lately have seen my car in the driveway and asked me if my car is coated and the answer is simple...it's not. Nothing goes on with this car other than the same thing we offer with our basic package. My G12 7 Series is over 2 years old and has never had anything more than an annual decon and a light polish from time to time. Yes it would be cool to have a coated car and I do plan to coat my Volkswagen in the near future to make that an example since it's my... daily driver. But most customers tend to believe that the only way to keep a "showroom quality" is to have a coating. Here are some frequently asked questions about our coatings: What is a ceramic coating Ceramic coatings are the ultimate form of paint protection. While traditional waxes and paint sealants last between a few weeks to a few months, our ceramic coatings can last up to 8 years with the proper maintenance. A ceramic coating is essentially a layer of glass that sits on the existing clear coat of the paint. It has a much higher contact angle than traditional paint protection giving it a higher repellency to water and self-cleaning abilities. With ceramic coatings, there will be no need to wax or seal your vehicle's paint again! Why choose System X coatings There are numerous companies that manufacture coatings and each has its own benefit. Our System X Diamond SS ceramic coating is backed by a lifetime manufacture warranty for vehicles 2017 or newer and an 8 year manufacture warranty for vehicles older than 2017. The biggest benefit of System X coatings is that it gets reported to your vehicle's Carfax which can improve your vehicle's value and make it more likely to receive a better trade-in value in the future; so you are essentially getting your money back for the coating installation! Why is it so expensive It may seem expensive at a starting price of $899, but keep in mind that most shops that offer similar coatings charge upwards of $1900 and up! Aside from the high cost of product, it takes an immense amount of labor to perfect the condition of the paint before permanently sealing it in with ceramic. This includes a thorough wash, paint decontamination, machine compounding, machine polishing, and prepping the surface to bond well with the coating. What I like to tell my clients is that since the coating is reported to Carfax, dealers are more likely to give a higher trade in value and if you are privately selling your vehicle, you can list it for more than the average value. So in essence, you're pretty much getting your money back for the coating!
