Grow Midwifery and Ayurveda 19.12.2021

Big changes happening here at Grow! Read below for more... . Let’s just rip the BandAid off, shall we? First, I am moving to Oahu! This means that I will no longer be serving the beautiful Maui community. I have been so blessed and grateful to be here for the last 4 years. And especially blessed to have helped so many of you welcome new members of your family. While I am really looking forward to getting to know a new community and a new island, I will miss you all so much. .... Second, I am over joyed to say that I am pregnant! My partner and I are expecting our first little babe in early 2021. It is such a new and eye opening experience to be on the flip side of this experience. What a trip! Any words of wisdom for your midwife? . What this all ultimately boils down to is that I’m going to be taking a big long break for a while. I will focus on moving and making the huge transition to parenthood. Grow will be going into hibernation while I learn what the universe and Gd have in store for me. I know in time, Grow will be reborn to serve families again, but it’s time for me to take a step in a new direction. And I’m so ready! . Change is always bittersweet. Especially when it is change made from love, rather than from fear or absolute necessity. These changes are some of the best and hardest changes of my life both personally and professionally. And I know they will change me profoundly, as a midwife but also as a human. I will miss a lot of what has come before, but I know a lot of new adventure awaits. And I love a good adventure. . Mostly, I just want to say thank you. Thank you to all of you who have been apart of Grow. Thank you for letting me live a dream I’ve dreamed for so many years. Thank you for helping me to live a more fulfilling life. I am so grateful and honored to have been your midwife. . . . . #midwifery #ayurveda #homebirth #waterbirth #maui #VBAC #postpartum #fertility #growmidwifery #change #oahu #pregnancy #gratitude See more

Won’t you join me? #justiceforgeorgefloyd #blacklivesmatter #reproductivejustice #dobetter #Repost @villagebirthintl with @get_repost Our 3rd meeting is coming up this Sunday at 4pm EST. We will be reporting back on preliminary work initiated within the facilitator group over the last two weeks focused on these three components: Action and Response (amplifying/supporting BIPOC orgs), Identity (name, values, structure), and Education (national and lo...cal) and will continue with our large group work, feedback, process, and questions. We hope you share this urgency. If you are looking for a community organizing space to dig deeper into taking greater accountability in our white work, please join us.
