Do you guys know that Forty Niner was the first restaurant to introduce the Haupia sauce on our Forty Niner Pancakes? Now you see them every where! The idea came up on a car ride, Wil went back to the restaurant and went straight to the kitchen to work on the recipe. Needless to say it has been a huge hit! This idea has spread out to many other restaurants locally and even internationally beginning with Japan in 2010 when Kinoshita Noritake and Ishibashi Takaaki from the Japanese comedy show Tunnels filmed an episode of the show at Forty Niner featuring the Forty Niner Pancake and the Banana French Toast. Forty Niner was invited to Japan’s after that and it was so cool to see pictures of our food throughout places in Osaka and Tokyo, what an experience! Awesome memories!
