This is my third assignment to Korea. I was at Kunsan in 1996 and came back to be the Wolf in 2011-2012...There is absolutely no place on the planet like the Wolf Pack. Everybody that has a chance to come here sees it. This place is so special, and yes, it’s a hard year. It’s hard to be away from your family. I’ve lived it twice, and my family had to survive back in the United States, away from me, just like all your families are doing. But man, is this a special place. There’s just something about Kunsan. Everybody in the Air Force knows about it and everybody always goes, ‘well, you know, Kunsan, one-year remote,’ and then they always go, ‘man, that was the best assignment of my life.’ If it wasn’t for the fact that I was away from my family, it was the best assignment of my life.
