Our Feb. 23rd Maui Mauka Conservation Awareness Training (open to all) will feature an amazing guest speaker who will be discussing the role of using a bacteria... to help control the mosquito population and save our birds! Sign up for the training here: mauimauka.org/trainings This three hour training on Maui's natural environment is to inform tour guides, informal and formal educators, and general public. These trainings focus on watersheds, native plants and animals, and invasive species. Presentations are simple, educational, fact-based and are taught by members of conservation organizations. Maui Mauka Conservation Awareness aims to Connect Conservation Professionals with Tourism Professionals to create a beneficial relationship in nature-based tourism as both can benefit from increasing the quality of interpretation and the level of awareness of Hawaii’s unique natural resources.
