My family has recently completed a military PCS move from Hawaii to Virginia. There are lots of things we want to do but we are in "that stage;" of waiting for our stuff to get here, trying new places out, and figuring out schedules. It will all eventually fall into place like a slowly progressing puzzle. Slow to start but a beautiful masterpiece once it's done. This quote it perfect because a good reminder to celebrate the small victories.

This right here is a huge motivation of mine to live my life to it's fullest so that my children can in turn do the same & more.

I'm sharing the podcasts I've been listening to lately because they are eye-opening and make me look inward. This one in particular. If you are white (no-offense here), I highly recommend you take a listen!

This is everything. If you don't see what is causing problems in your life but your loved ones point it out, listen. Hopefully they are telling you from a place of love. Once it has sank in and you are aware, you have a choice to do something different.

This is a perfect reminder to just let people be. Make suggestions if need be and love them, but don't control. Things may turnout to be like a beautiful sunset all on their own.

Great reminder for me today. My family is in the process of moving from Hawaii to Virginia to move into our "forever home." I find myself daydreaming of all the exciting things to come but am reminding myself to be present and relish in the ordinary moments too. There's no better place than to be surrounded by those you love, even in ordinary moments

Read this quote again, over & over. The loss of 13 service members in Kabul is heartbreaking. I love how vulnerable President Biden is with talking about this loss because they are not numbers. This loss brings me back to the funerals I attended as a general's aide for service members killed in combat. You could feel the heartbreak in the air of those rooms and in the hugs of their loved ones. I pray for those families in coping & healing with this loss. Happy and grateful for my existence today and every day.
