Being born and raised in Hawaii, I have not given it much thought as to how special it is to have such a diversity of climates (micro climates) in a rather small space like Maui. Many of our visitors have to travel many hundreds of miles and for hours to experience one change in micro climate where they live. From dry desert, to rain forest, to mountainous climates, it can all be experienced in a matter of several hours. We have choices of living where we feel comfortable and don't even have to leave the island. So the question is... What micro-climate do you prefer?
