Over $75,000 has been spent on campaigning by State Senator Stanley Chang so far in the 2020 election. Why should an incumbent need to spend so much? Where does this funding come from? ... Answer: SPECIAL INTERESTS. Over half of Stanley Chang’s campaign contributions come from unions and political action committees, clearly demonstrating who Stanley Chang serves: big donors and political interest groups. That is NOT how I run my campaign. I believe in grassroots and serving everyday working families, not special interests. This is an uphill battle, and I’m fighting it for YOU. I believe that we can make Hawaii a better place, but only if we stand against special interests and quid-pro-quo. I’m running to represent YOU in the state senate! Let's build a better Hawaii.
Where's Stanley Chang? He missed our debate last Tuesday on KHVH with Rick Hamada. We planned to discuss Hawaii’s issues and hear from callers. Does Stanley Chang NOT CARE about your opinions? Probably not. Otherwise, he would be more accessible. ... It's important to listen to our community so one realizes an idea like Chang's Singapore Project WILL NOT WORK! We have to hold him accountable for his decisions like I did during our PBS Insights debate. He's avoiding you and me. It's disrespectful and a disservice to our community. That’s not how I led during my time in the state senate and that’s not how I’ll lead if elected to serve you again. Unlike Stanley Chang, I always attended neighborhood board meetings; I always listened to my constituents to hear their concerns and represent their interests; I always fought for substantive improvements in the lives of working families. You know my record and I’m proud of how I've represented you. I've always showed up. Will Stanley?
Stanley Chang says We’ve got to start somewhere. I agree, but that somewhere is NOT Singapore! That somewhere is NOT big government projects, like the Honolulu Rail Transit, where we lose millions in our tax dollars! That somewhere is NOT race-based quotas or 80-story buildings that destroy the natural beauty of our island! Government can’t solve housing in Hawaii. It’s tried and failed. We need to solve it by fixing our zoning laws, fixing our permitting processes, and holding developers accountable to their promises of affordability. This is how we build a better Hawaii!
This is NOT the Hawaii I learned to cherish. I've come to respect and care for the island and its people. WATCH the video. Get to know me. Understand I've ALWAYS been here for my community, even when I wasn't in office. I will continue to be YOUR VOICE and fight for YOU.... My opponent will never know you like I do. Be heard. Stand strong. We are Hawaii. Aloha.
Come join us to show your love for America!
You guys are AMAZING!!! Thank you for all the support! We're going to win this election and show how much we CAN DO for our community!
