Yoga for exhausted people. this weeks Hatha practice we'll focus on the exhales and retention after to release stress, emotions + bodily tension. 70 minutes- brief discussion, simple Asana, Pranayama and short Yoga Nidra meditation. In Yin Yoga we work the connective tissues and hold gentle poses for up to 5 minutes. 60 min of Yin poses and a guided Yoga Nidra in Savasana.... Both great for winding down at the end of a long work day.

Magic Island Hatha Yoga Tuesdays 530pm The main focus is the breathe, not a targeted workout. You can cheat a pose, but you cannot cheat the breathe. Weekly online classes- simple yet powerful Yoga.... We will practice the 5 basic principles of Yoga. Breath is movement. The movement of the body is consciously linked to the movement of the breath and felt to be the same movement. 2. The inhalation is from above as receptivity, the exhalation is from below as strength. Inhale into the upper chest, allowing the relaxed belly to expand naturally. Exhale by gently drawing the abdominals in and up, allowing the chest to settle naturally. 3. The breath envelops the movement. Breath starts slightly before and finishes slightly after the movement. The breath initiates the body movement. 4. Asana creates bandha, and bandha serves the breath. Bandha exists naturally & not in isolation from asana and pranayama. 5. Asana, pranayama and meditation are a seamless process. Asana allows for pranayama, and pranayama allows for meditation. Meditation arises as siddhi, a gift, and cannot be forcefully practiced. - The Heart of Yoga
