Mahalo to the many hands that continue to give and support our community during these challenging times. Hawaii is a unique place; our desire to want to help one another is our way of life. Yesterday was for covid, today there is hurricane Douglas. Be safe Hawai'i!

Celebrating Prince Jonah Khi Kalanianaole Day here on Maui, we’ll explore the moolelo of Kalanianaole alongside contemporary expressions, right here on Mau...i, of the thriving ina, culture, and people that Kalanianaole envisioned for Hawaii nei. We’ll visit a Maui farm that is establishing their own legacy for the generations to come through organic farming rooted in Hawaiian tradition. Check out Polipoli Farms and the work of farming couple Brad and Lehia. Here they are talking story with Pomai Weigert of GoFarm Hawaii. Next we'll be in the kitchen at @Sugar Beach Events Hawai‘i with Chef Lyndon Honda of Chef Market Hawaii. He’s got a delicious cookie recipe for us, made from one of our favorite Hawaiian canoe crops: uala. Then we have the multi-talented Cody Pueo Pata here to share with us the art of lauhala weaving, while skillfully weaving in a story or two that’ll deepen your appreciation for our moolelo. And wrapping up our show, we have the nahenahe music stylings of Jason Kaleo Phillips and we’ll hear from one of Maui’s newest musical groups, Hoaka (Kason K. Gomes, Kalani Miles and Wailau Ryder) Hosted by Prince Khi Hawaiian Civic Club member @Keoni Kuoha. Mahalo to the @County of Maui and the The County of Maui Office of Economic Development - OED, Montage Kapalua Bay
