PAI Foundation 21.12.2021

#TBT to 2014, when we had the honor to honor Aunty Paulette Kahalepuna as a MAMo Awardee. In this year, Aunty Paulette came with us to all three MAMo Wearable Art Shows and she got to strut her stuff in her one of a kind Harinani Orme creation. Who remembers this year? #MAMo2014

Here's a #TBT for today... "Art is more than something we frame and put on a wall." - Vicky Holt Takamine, Executive Director of PAI Foundation Art is everything we do and everything we wear...from our cultural practices to our regalia to our uhi, this is all art...it speaks of our history, our core cultural values, and of who we are as kanaka maoli...and we celebrate it everyday.... Featured here is the work of @suluape_keone of Puhi. This photo takes us back to...2012? 2013? Somewhere around there. How many of these kne do you recognize?
