Repost from @outriggervolleyball - Congrats to our Boys 15’s squad for going up to the mainland this weekend and securing the Open Bid!! Thanks to our awesome coaches Charlie Wade and Colton Cowell, fresh off their National Championship, leading these boys to finish the tournament strong. It’s been a year of adversity and the Boys worked hard under the circumstances they were given. They had very limited gym time all season but they hustled, competed and scrambled against some awesome mainland teams. Kansas City here we come!!

This Memorial Day and everyday we are grateful for our military service personnel past and present and the families who support them. We won’t be holding our Memorial Day service today, but we hold the memory of those who gave all in our hearts. #occohana #outriggercanoeclub

Repost from @hawaiimarineanimalresponse - MEET THE SEALS: RK96 KAIWI You may have seen this gorgeous girl in the news a lot recently; this is RK96 "Kaiwi", mom to Oahu’s newest monk seal pup (P02)! Kaiwi was born in 2011 along the Kaiwi coastline to her mom, RO10 "Irma". Her brothers are RR70 "Rip", RI17 "Mojo", RO40 "Kaena", and RN46 "Kea". Kaiwi is very independent and would typically rather be doing her own thing than hauled out with other seals. If she halls out on a beac...h with seals, she’ll usually head to the other side of the beach as far away as possible. But she is a fantastic mom, and this is her 4th pup! Her other pups are RH36 "Kawena," born in 2016, RK24 "Wawamalu," a male born in 2018, and RM26 "Nohea," born last year. We’re so glad to see her thriving with her new pup! Remember, if you see a mom and pup pair on a beach, please give them 150 feet of space to not cause a disturbance and stay behind any signs, ropes or fencing in place.
