The parishioners of Holy Spirit Parish in the Newman Center at UH Manoa celebrated their feast day today together with Bishop Larry Silva. Also celebrated at th...is Mass was the reception of the sacrament of Confirmation by five of the young people who have spent the last two years preparing for this day. Speaking to the confirmandi, Bishop Larry emphasized the importance of the frequent reception of the Eucharist noting that Jesus, who was born in the "House of Bread" in a food trough, promised to be with us until the end of days and it is through this sacrament that he is truly present and in our midst, body and blood, soul and divinity. The Eucharist is the source and summit of our Catholic faith and when we receive Jesus in this sacrament we are once again reunited with God in the heavenly banquet.
