NAMBP's hearing asking the Judge to grant us a Preliminary Injunction in the matter against the State of Hawaii, Department of Transportation - Airports Division, is set for this Friday, February 21, 2020 at 0830. First Circuit Court, Honolulu. This is a public hearing and anyone who can attend on behalf of NAMBP is invited and encouraged to attend. (Please share to everyone you know!) Public interest is important for us in this matter. We need to stop the actions of DOT-A and hold them accountable for trying to erase history in Hawaii and shutting down the Museum's efforts to preserve that history & honoring those who served and sacrificed for our freedom. Mahalo for your support!
We are back in the courtroom at 1330 today. Settlement conference continues. We will keep you posted. Mahalo for your support!

It's been awhile since we've posted due to many hours of working with our legal defense team. We would like to share with all of you our efforts to fight this wrongful eviction. We have filed our civil Complaint against the State of Hawaii, Department of Transportation, Airports Division. No one should be allowed to erase history! We hope to stop this eviction process and work towards a resolution so we may continue to preserve the history of Naval aviation in Hawaii. You...r support is still needed to help us as we move forward in this process. Please visit our GoFundMe page (#savenavalairmuseumbarberspoint) and donate if you can. We appreciate all of you and any help you can give. We will keep you posted as this case progresses. We will have the link to our full Complaint posted shortly. Mahalo from all of us at NAMBP. DOTA REFUSED TO SETTLE. DOTA LIED TO THE JUDGE. Our Motion continues to June 10, 2020. Your support is needed more than ever. Mahalo to all of you!
If any of our supporters out there would like to read our full legal complaint, feel free to download it via the following link: http://nambp.org/wp-content/uploads//12/NAMBP-COMPLAINT.pdf We know this is just a first step, but we couldn't have taken that step without your support and encouragement. We know it's tough to give money, especially during the Christmas season, and we're immensely grateful to those of you who have dug deep for us. We're also thankful for those who can't give at this time, who have spread the word, made calls and written letters in support, signed the petition, and kept us motivated through your comments here on Facebook. Thank you, one and all.

Circuit court 4th floor, courtroom 9.
UPDATE: Today we had our Settlement Conference. Both sides confidentially presented to the Judge. After a long and trying afternoon, the Judge continued the settlement discussions to Monday, March 9th at 1330. We are thankful for everyone's continued support and also for the Judge who is willing to listen to what we have to say and not be quick to dismiss us. We want everyone to know we are giving this all we've got and we are not giving up! We hope to work things out w...ith DOTA and continue our mission and operations so we can get back to our precious collection and have all of you join us in the future on our flightline! Please continue to support us and if you are able, please continue to contribute to our legal defense fund on GoFundMe at Save Naval Air Museum Barbers Point. Everything helps and we truly appreciate it! Mahalo from all of us at NAMBP! See more
UPDATE: After approximately 4 hours of testimony today, the Judge moved us to settlement discussions. We have our Settlement Conference scheduled for March 5, 2020 at 1330. Surprisingly [and rightfully due] the Judge was quite interested in our case. He took great interest in us. Although he did not grant our Motion for the preliminary injunction, he did not deny it either. Moving to settlement is good. We still have much ahead. Next, we need to propose a settlement... offer. Both sides need to present by March 2, 2020, prior to the Conference on March 5th. If we cannot reach settlement which works for both sides, we will proceed to trial on June 10, 2020 at 1330. We would like to thank all of you for your continued support and also thank our sideline crew who showed up to support us at the hearing today. We will continue to keep you all updated. Mahalo from all of us at NAMBP!!
