Hey Mo ‘Ono Fam! Our little island home is facing a huge surge of Covid cases. As our society enters into a third calendar year of dealing with Covid, as a business and members of this community we need to pause and think how do we move forward? In times like these it’s hard to keep a consistent flow of business while needing to play it safe. Yesterday we closed for testing and for some of us to get our booster shots. We are Open Today in Kahului Only 10am-5pm! Today’s crew... has consistently tested negative for Covid and are in tip top shape. Unfortunately another team member has tested positive for Covid with minimal symptoms and is in isolation. We’ve adapted many times through out this pandemic as variants have come and gone and as state mandates and policies continue to change. So as of right now this is our commitment to you: We will ONLY Open with team members that are feeling their best and not experiencing any symptoms. We will test as often as possible. Lately it’s been once a week. We will continue to follow all recommended guidelines in proper mask usage and sanitation. We will continue to monitor ourselves for symptoms and not work if any arise and test as soon as can. We will close as we see necessary. This will cause inconsistent schedule changes but we feel it necessary in order to keep our community and families safe. Team members who do test positive for Covid will not return to work until isolation time is complete, they have no symptoms, and have tested negative. Aloha Mo ‘Ono Family, These past two years have truly been a whirlwind! We have been so blessed to continue to serve our island home Maui through out this pandemic. It has been our number one priority to keep our customers and community safe. We have gotten to know so many of you and value the relationships we’ve been able to build through out the years. You know us, and we know you, which is why we feel it important to be transparent as we have appreciated the transparency o...f other Maui businesses through out this pandemic. For the first time since the beginning of this pandemic, we have had an employee test positive for Covid-19. The employee last worked on Friday 12/17 in Kahului and got tested Saturday 12/18 after the first signs of mild symptoms. Our employee has begun the necessary isolation time and, so far, continues to only experience mild symptoms. We will add that all of our employees are fully vaccinated, which is why we believe symptoms so far have been minimal but know that breakthrough cases are becoming more common and we need to continue to stay vigilant. So far the rest of our team continue to test negative. As members of the Maui community we know the importance of keeping our community safe and will take action over the next few days to continue to test our team, monitor ourselves for symptoms, thoroughly sanitize both of our food truck locations and reopen when we feel it is safe. At this time we are uncertain of when this will be. We know that news like this could negatively impact our business, but as members of this community that we love so much we truly feel it necessary to be transparent. It is our prayer that when we do reopen that we can continue the good times as usual We love you Maui, there is no other community we’d rather serve than you. See ya when we see ya!
