MLT Project Coordinator, Josiah Ching, and MLT Executive Director, Butch Haase band the second of two wedge tail shearwater chicks at the Anapuka Dune Restoration Project on the Mokio Preserve. We are looking forward to doing this on an annual basis in conjunction with the banding activities at the adjacent TNC Mo'omomi Preserve. A good sign that the management and restoration activities are positively impacting our native wildlife.

Aloha Friends and Supporters, This year #GivingTuesday is officially December 1, 2020. #GivingTuesday has become a global gesture of giving back. During these difficult times we need your support more than ever. Please consider making a financial contribution to support the conservation and restoration of natural and cultural resources being carried out by the Molokai Land Trust. Whether you donate $5 or $100 your donation will make an impact. Every little bit helps. Your ...contribution today will support our goal of planting 18,000 native plants within our Anapuka Dune Restoration project and elsewhere on the Mokio Preserve which will support the recovery of critically endangered plants and animals; and honors the unique ecological legacy of our island home. Please follow the link below to donate and click on any of the yellow donate buttons. Any amount is truly appreciated. All contributions are tax-deductible. https://molokailandtrust.org/donate/ See more

Aloha everyone, mahalo for your continued support and patience. We apologize for our lack of content and updates over the past few weeks. Please enjoy this short clip of our Project Coordinator Josiah Ching and Kupu CLDP member Jose Escobar in action demonstrating one of the methods we use to monitor the newly established Wedge-tailed Shearwater colony at Anapuka. They also talk about the importance of ongoing monitoring of the colony in order to ensure the long term success of this population of native seabirds.

Aloha Supporters! We wanted to provide an update on our activities in light of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. In order to protect our staff and allow them to continue to work and carry out the critical habitat restoration activities on our protected lands, Molokai Land Trust is temporarily suspending fundraisers, gatherings, and on-site volunteering for individuals outside our immediate work bubble, during the pandemic. PLEASE stay in touch and if possible, DONATE to help ...us through this challenging time, as we will be better prepared to welcome you back following the pandemic pause! Stay connected with us through Instagram and Facebook, and help build our audience by sharing Molokai Land Trust within your social networks. TOGETHER, we can continue to build on the incredible success that we have achieved over the past decade of restoring the diversity and beauty of Molokai. Mahalo for your continued support!
