Aloha it’s time for MO2V8D with Melissa, here are some great yoga poses for office (now at home) workers. These moves can also be done in a chair. We ALL should be taking multiple stretch breaks throughout the day. We must be mindful & listen to our bodies. The pictures below demonstrate the following; spine stretch, neck release, wrist flexion, seated cat pose, forward fold, seated twist, wrist extension. For those who want an extra challenge....head stand aka asana. The...re are many benefits of going upside down. Inversions improve circulation in the body, increase immunity, prevent illness, energize, relax, improve balance, increase core strength, build confidence, stay humble, literally give us a new perspective on life, and they are FUN!! Practice makes perfect it took me sometime to master headstands. With determination ANYTHING is possible. Aloha I hope your Monday is off to a beautiful start. There are hidden blessings in every struggle. Living a healthy lifestyle can be a struggle. Set realistic goals for YOU, don’t try to measure up to others. Do what feels right for your body. YOU know yourself best!! Remember YOU are important YOU are strong YOU are unique YOU are capable of accomplishing anything YOU set your mind to. #Namaste #MO2V8D Some upper body moves to get you started. If you have a bosu even better for added core strengthening. If not, no big deal you can use a bench, chair, picnic table....think outside the box. Always modify to accommodate your level of training & your body. Can use heavier weights, no weights, bands....have FUN with your training routine.
Do YOU have time for self-care???? What are you top 3 things you like to do? How do you carve that time out of your busy life? It is a MUST for us to take care of ourselves. We are run down, overwhelmed, exhausted....we become frustrated, quick tempered, or depressed. Make YOU the top priority so you can take on....ALL the things in your life...children, work, bills, household etc...... Today I decided to enjoy a 10 Minute Aztec clay & apple cider vinegar mask while I do Zoom training. We can all do this, right??? Carve a few minutes out of our incredibly busy day.
