The more days that go by, the more I contemplate the type of work I put out as well as the type of people I want to work with. When I look back at older work and look towards the things I’d like to do as I plan newer shoots there is a common theme that comes up. Much of it stems from well, I love to have fun shooting and I love shooting with others that also like to have fun shooting. However, those two things aren’t always on the same page especially as I venture more on the creative side of things as well as the business side of things. For the most part, I love what I do. Tho the same question comes back; what’s it for? Where are you going? Are you going anywhere? The easiest answer is yes. Though the where is often times as clear as mud. The Dope Squad event earlier this year was hands down one of the best ways this year could have began despite everything that’s going on now. It was hella fun, hella dope, and got to meet many like-minded individuals that all brought something with them to make the event just that much better. Suki was such a person that brought that kind of energy. Believe it or not this is our first shoot. We’ve always sort of been in different universes when it came to this even though we’ve kept in touch for the better part of 2 and a half years. While seemingly intimidating at first (the energy she can bring to a room is enormous) she really has the happy go lucky next door chic personality that makes knowing her and working together just something that seems right. I don’t say that lightly. That’s one of the things that makes her a unicorn.
