Registration is now open for the MATLAB Computational Methods for Radiation Oncology workshop.
This is an open free event for medical physicists, radiation oncologists and ACPSEM members interested in computational analysis and image processing. Limited spots available so register fast!
Details are as follows:
July 5th 9am- 5pm at Princess Alexandra hospital.
Introduction to MATLAB
Learn how to use MATLAB to import, analyse and visualise medical data. Here we will demonstrate the scripting, automation, app development and publishing capabilities of MATLAB. This session will help familiarise yourself with MATLAB as a technical computing tool.
Diagnostic Image Processing
In this session, learn how MATLAB can be used to easily read and process medical images. A special focus of this presentation will be on the use of interactive Apps, enabling you to perform your analysis without having to write any code.Topics discussed will include DICOM file support, image enhancement, and image segmentation. Images of phantoms implanted with fiducial markers will be used as an example.
Other Examples
This session will explore other useful applications of MATLAB in Medical Physics. Topics may include mathematical modelling and image registration for radiation dosimetry, deep learning for image segmentation, and application deployment.
Hands-on MATLAB Workshop (part 1)
In part 1 of this hands-on MATLAB workshop you will learn to use data importing, analysis, and visualisation tools with medical data.
Hands-on MATLAB Workshop (part 2)
In part 2 of this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to work with DICOM files and apply image processing techniques to medical images.
