Nani wale kuu home o inahau i ka iu i ka holunape, a ka lau o ka niu. inahau, one of the homes of the Oahu chiefs, was part of the 10-acre estate inhe...rited by Princess Ruth Keeliklani. Originally called Auaukai, Princess Miriam Likelike named it inahau or "Cool Land" when she lived there with her husband, Archibald Scott Cleghorn, who turned it into a botanical garden. The stream that flowed through inahau and emptied into the ocean where the present day Outrigger Hotel is located, was called puakehau. At one point more than 50 peacocks roamed the estate and were hand fed by their daughter Princess Kaiulani. Manu Boyd accompanied by Keauhou honors inahau in this year's May Day celebration. Join us on May 1st at 6pm HST on KGMB and Facebook live at Khuli Leo Lea.
