Mele Kalikimaka !! As we reflect on 2020, we count all our blessings!! Each and every one of you has blessed us tremendously, whether at our store or just following us on our social media... the outpouring of love and support has given us the drive to continue to do what we do... no matter how tough things get... and 2020 has DEFINITELY been a challenge in so many ways for ALL of us. We have watched through social media how you all have managed to get through these tough ...times... and one thing always remains constant... the driving force behind us is always...OHANA (family)!! Ohana isn't always blood relatives, but the people who stick by your side no matter what you are going through or your social or financial status or who you vote for... we don't care... so we thank our ohana... all of YOU... because we think of you all as part of OUR ohana as you have shown us the true meaning of love, family and friendship!! We want to take this opportunity to say MAHALO to our family, friends, new found friends, and everyone who has touched our lives, no matter how small... we thank you for your love and support... Have a very Blessed and Merry Christmas! Please stay safe and healthy as you all matter to us... we love you!! Your Kilani Bakery Ohana

Kilani Bakery 11.12.2021

Hi All... we are so sorry we've been kind of MIA from social media. Watching and hearing about all the business closures really hits home for us as we do realize this could be our business... so our main focus is in store and doing our best to keep business going well...AND we are happy to report that thanks to ALL OF YOU business has been great! The reason for this post is that since the sad announcement of Kaneohe Bakery closing at the end of the month, a few of our custom...ers have been confused and think that it is Kilani Bakery and have been calling and questioning if/when we are closing. This is not us, this is Kaneohe Bakery on the Windward side. Losing two bakeries in less than a month just breaks our hearts (please support Kaneohe Bakery and Love's Bakery while you still can!). There are so many small, local businesses that should not be in this position and we can only hope that once things are better, these businesses will find a way to come back even bigger and better than before. Our thoughts and prayers go out to every single business/person affected! Please remember... if you want to see your favorite local businesses survive... #supportlocal #supportsmallbusinesses ! We know how blessed and fortunate we are to have each and every one of you walk through our doors and please know that we are eternally grateful! We are proud to say that we have been able to bring back every single employee throughout this pandemic (even hired another one) and appreciate their loyalty to KB...we are truly so very blessed and are so proud to call them our ohana Mahalo for all the love and support ALWAYS, but especially during the most difficult of times...we love and appreciate ALL of you #wahiawastrong #kilanibakery

Introducing our new logo! It's been a long time coming since we've done any updates to our logo... we want to keep the nostalgic feel and wanted to incorporate the same logo and pineapple that KB was known for. We also wanted to support local and were so happy to find Ken from @theniftyfactory who also happens to be a Wahiawa resident!! Ken was amazing... designed our new logo and was so easy to work with... and quick! Thank you Ken, we love it! The paragraph below explains w...hy the pineapple was an important part of our logo!! "In 1904, Wahiawa was known as "The City of Pines" and was considered the "hub" of the pineapple industry in the world. Wahiawa Town's multi ethnic make-up, over its formative years, closely follows that of the plantation contract laborers coming to the islands to work in the pineapple fields. Plantation life was hard and many contract workers left the plantation once their contracts expired. Some of them or their children started businesses in Wahiawa. The community continued to grow, a town developed, and a new district initiated." https://www.wahiawahistoricalsoc.com/brief.html As we look at 2021 with a bit more hope...We continue to wish for a much better year for EVERYONE... please continue to keep safe... mask up, social distance, wash your hands and as soon as you can...VACCINATE! We feel so blessed and thankful to each and every one of you... we love you all

We truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to keep everyone as safe as possible!! If you have any questions, do not hesitate to call the bakery (808)621-5662! We would like to thank Dan Nakasone, @wahiawahomeboy for the feature in the Hawaii Herald this month! He did an amazing job writing a brief history about Wahiawa and giving us an opportunity to give some background history of Kilani Bakery. It's not very often a small mom and pop business gets any type of media attention unless you're going out of business or do something wrong, so we feel extremely blessed to have had the opportunities we have had this year in spite of Covid...19! Dealing with this pandemic in 2020 has been challenging to say the least... but we are so thankful that this year is almost over and that we've ALMOST made it through ...hoping the end is near for Covid19. Too many lives have been lost and so many people have been affected in some way or another by this virus... if you, your family or friends haven't been affected at all by this pandemic consider yourself truly blessed !! Thanks again Dan Nakasone! It truly was a pleasure talking to you and we appreciate you taking the time to do this feature alongside with @shigessaiminstand ... it truly was an honor to be mentioned with other long time Wahiawa businesses like Sawada Store, Dot’s Restaurant, and Sunnyside!! Stay safe during this holiday season! Mahalo ALWAYS to each and everyone of you for your love and support
