I GOT INTO NURSING SCHOOL!! I’ve been working toward this goal for 5 years. (I’m already an LPN but I’m going back to school to get my RN degree) I think I’m still in shock You work so hard to achieve a goal and then you get it and it’s hard to know how to react! I’m really happy, of course. Just still processing the good news ... What does this mean for my photography? I don’t yet know what my school schedule will be but I WILL STILL BE DOING SESSIONS. I will keep updating y’all as I get more info but for now, I’m scheduling shoots as normal until April. It’s tough on its own but even tougher for a toddlers mind to comprehend. If your toddler is sad, angry, quiet, etc after you’ve brought a newborn home, it’s easy to feel guilty. Have you done a social media cleanse lately?! A few months back I did a cleanse on my personal IG. I unfollowed any accounts that I felt didn’t help me in any way. I had decided I only wanted to see things that lifted me up! Recently I decided to do something similar with my business IG. I unfollowed accounts that don’t inspire me or ones whose style aren’t similar to mine (for example, i don’t shoot weddings, so wedding photography accounts aren’t helpful for me!) Discla...imer: I always continue following creators that follow me, I think photographers supporting photographers is SO important! Since doing this cleanse, when I hop on Instagram (personal or business), I’m only met with things that help me GROW and feel confident. I wish I’d done this sooner.
