Back at it. Sampling some incredible 100% Kauai grown Grand Alli's, Kapahi farm Corojo seco harvest and toying around with the new chocolate winnower from Costa Rica.

The Hawaii State Legislature is now in session. Kauai Cigar and the Hawaii Cigar Association are happy to see several bills up for consideration, including three bills re-introduced from last session. Prohibitionists hard at work. It never ends with the nanny state bureaucracy. They will take, and take, and take until nothing is left. It is NOT our responsibility to focus on the government's interests. Today's hearing on the legality of the FDA proposed 30% cigar warning label requirement in the US Court of Appeals in DC. Last day for tobacco, and first day of coffee harvest, tomorrow.

Everyone here at the Kauai Cigar Company wishes our customers and the world the very best during this Covid-19 pandemic. These are hard times, but after 30 years in the farming business we know that we will pull through this and be stronger than ever when this storm has passed. Spending so much time with my family has also brought an unexpected reward to my life as I realize that my two children ages 12 and 15 will not be home forever. I hope everyone is able to take some ...solace and appreciate what we all have in our relationships with each other. In regards to the business we are managing to stay busy on the farms while maintaining our social distance. The coffee harvest isn't set to begin for another few months and we have no tobacco in the ground which is fortunate. And while we were excited about the spring releases of Ku'e and Waialeale cigars as well as the launch of our Kapahi Bourbon, a long arduous 5 year project of mine, our customers still have the opportunity to purchase any of our cigars and coffee through mail order. If these specialties can bring you any comfort during these uncertain times we will have accomplished something. Again, we hope this post finds everyone well and we wish you the very best. Great things just don't happen. It takes a lot of time and patience, many mistakes, and back end work to develop incredible Kauai grown products and brands. We've been mostly silent over the last 5 years, but rest assured cigar and whisky lovers... we have some seriously awesome treats heading your way!
