One of the friendly competitions each year during I Mua Week is the decorating contents where each class can demonstrate their spirit. For this 2021 edition, classes created displays in each of their grade-level Hookanaka Centers and made videos showing off the decorations. YOU can help pick the winner. Voting is conducted on Instagram. To vote, simply give a like to the class display you want to vote for. Here are all of the links: 2021 - https://www.instagram.com/p/CN3V6U...RFRQD/ 2022 - https://www.instagram.com/p/CN3OgIRlxmC/ 2023 - https://www.instagram.com/p/CN3O1QXF3xy/ 2024 - https://www.instagram.com/p/CN3PsvHFeCQ/ See all of their submissions first in the video below. Last Friday, we held the second of two on-campus vaccination events for Kamehameha Schools employees, and while waiting in the observation area, participants were treated to a special music performance from Kahu Kaunaloa and senior and Keiki Kahu Ioane Boshard. It was a special treat on a special day with majority of our faculty and staff now having received both doses of the vaccine. Mahalo to the Boshard ohana as always for gracing us with their amazing talents! Vaccine eligibility on Hawaii island is expanded to all those 16 and over. Hilo Medical Center has another vaccination POD happening on April 24. Visit www.hilomedicalcenter.org to register, or visit www.hawaiicovid19.com for additional information and opportunities.

One of the special traditions we look forward to each year is bringing together members of our senior class for a dinner hosted by Poo Kula Naeole-Wong. With everything happening with this pandemic, we were unsure if we'd able to do it at all this year, but thankfully due to the diligence of our county and owning our kuleana to keep each other safe, and with several adjustments for safety protocols, we were able to make it happen this year and celebrate our seniors. One o...f our incredibly talented seniors, Wallace Ishibashi, put together this special edit of moments from throughout his Kkoa's night with members of his class in attendance. It was the second of four nights planned to bring the class of 2021 together. Mahalo to him for capturing this tradition and milestone moment and for allowing us to share it. And mahalo to everyone who came out and to all who supported efforts to make this night possible.
